This 100% pure beeswax candle is molded from an antique J. W. Doran Pharmacist glass bottle.
J. W. Doran moved to Juneau, Alaska in 1895 to manage a drug store as a doctor and a chemist. His store was located on 102 Second Street and is pictured below.
These glass bottles were likely thrown away as trash over a century ago and were found in the dirt in Juneau, Alaska. There are several sizes of J.W. Doran's antique bottles. We have collected 4 sizes, but we presume to be larger out there.
