This poison bottle is designed with grooved edges to distinguish it from other bottles. Over 100 years ago and before electricity, it was tricky to decipher which bottle was which at night. The ribbed edges on this bottle was characteristic of most poison bottes at the time. It reads "POISON. NOT TO BE TAKEN" vertically down the front.
